STEP 11 - APPETITE AND WEIGHT

Seniors can face problematic weight issues as they get older due to appetite loss, or conversely, overeating. Both can bring about health issues and put a strain on the body that can be difficult to manage.

Appetite loss can be due to a health condition, medications, lack of energy, dehydration, inability to prepare meals, or a loss of interest in food due to changing taste buds, low mood, or altered cognitive ability. Weight loss can occur if a lack of appetite is ongoing.

Weight gain can also occur due to a health condition, medications, lack of exercise or inability to exercise, or low mood.

Essentials Oils can be used to both stimulate or suppress the APPETITE. Essential Oils that can STIMULATE the APPETITE include:

  • PEPPERMINT

  • LEMON

  • GRAPEFRUIT

  • INVIGORATING BLEND

  • CARDAMOM

  • FENNEL

Oils to SUPPRESS APPETITE include:

  • GRAPEFRUIT

  • PATCHOULI

  • METABOLIC BLEND

  • METABOLIC BLEND SOFTGELS

  • TRIM SHAKE

GRAPEFRUIT

Grapefruit has an energizing and invigorating aroma, and can uplift mood and support a healthy metabolism.

PRACTICAL USES

  • Diffuse while dieting or trying to lose weight to increase motivation.

  • Add one to two drops to your water to support a healthy metabolism.*

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DIFFUSION: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
INTERNAL USE: Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid.
TOPICAL: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize any skin sensitivity.

CAUTIONS

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying product.
