STEP 15 - SLEEP SUPPORT

broken image

SLEEP patterns change as we get older. This phase of life is a time when the need for proper restorative sleep is higher but less sleep may be occurring. It can be harder to fall asleep and stay asleep than in younger years. This can be due to an underlying medical condition, emotional/mental health factors, or other reasons.

In general, older people tend to retire to bed earlier and wake earlier.

Difficulty with sleeping can be a short term issue that lasts a few days or weeks, or can become chronic, lasting months or even years.

There are many Essential Oils that can help to support sleep, either getting to sleep or staying asleep throughout the night. Some of these include:

  • LAVENDER

  • ROMAN CHAMOMILE

  • NEROLI

  • VETIVER

  • FRANKINCENSE

  • REASSURING BLEND

  • RESTFUL BLEND

  • RESTFUL COMPLEX SOFTGELS

RESTFUL BLEND

This calming and relaxing blend contains Lavender, Cedarwood, Ho Wood, Ylang Ylang, Marjoram, Roman Chamomile, Vetiver, Vanilla Bean Absolute, and Hawaiian Sandalwood. It has a grounding aroma that calms the mind and soothes the senses, and can support a restful sleep when used aromatically.

RESTFUL BLEND can be used in conjunction with RESTFUL COMPLEX SOFTGELS.

PRACTICAL USES

  • Apply to bottoms of feet at bedtime to help unwind before going to sleep.

  • Use in conjunction with RESTFUL COMPLEX SOFTGELS for an enhanced effect.

  • Inhale directly from hands or diffuse throughout the day to help lesson tension.

  • Add 2–3 drops into a warm bath with Epsom salts to create a relaxing, renewing experience.

  • Apply 2–3 drops to the back of the neck or on the heart for feelings of calmness and peace.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DIFFUSION: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of choice.
TOPICAL USE: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with Fractionated Coconut oil to minimize any skin sensitivity. See additional precautions below.
